Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website or engaging the services of QuickFix Handyman Inc., you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms apply to all service quotes, work orders, and maintenance agreements.
2. Scope of Services
QuickFix Handyman Inc. provides residential and commercial maintenance, repairs, and installations. The specific scope of work is defined in each individual quote. Any additional work requested outside the original quote will be billed as an extra charge.
3. Quotations and Payments
- Estimates: Quotes are based on initial information and photos. Final pricing may be adjusted if the on-site inspection reveals hidden issues or if the scope of work changes.
- Payment Terms: * Standard Services: Payment is due immediately upon completion of the work.
- Recurring/Maintenance Services: As per our updated policy, all recurring invoices must be settled by the 15th of each month.
- Late Payments: Payments delayed beyond the agreed date will incur an interest charge of 2.5% per month on the outstanding balance.
- Payment Methods: We accept E-transfers, major credit cards, and cash.
4. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Our scheduling is optimized to provide prompt service to all clients. To maintain this efficiency, we enforce the following:
- Notice Period: Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
- Late Fees: Requests made within 48 hours are subject to a cancellation fee (25% of the estimate) or a rescheduling fee ($25), as outlined in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
5. Warranties and Liability
- Workmanship Warranty: We stand behind our quality with a 30-day limited warranty on workmanship. If an issue arises due to our installation/repair within this period, we will fix it at no cost.
- Materials: We do not warrant materials or parts provided by third-party suppliers or the customer.
- Limitation of Liability: QuickFix Handyman Inc. is insured for general liability. However, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for issues arising from pre-existing structural, electrical, or plumbing defects.
6. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure a safe and efficient service, the customer agrees to:
- Provide a clear and safe work area.
- Disclose any known hazards (asbestos, faulty wiring, etc.) before work begins.
- Ensure an adult (18+) is present or provide authorized access to the property.
7. Health and Safety
We adhere to Alberta OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) regulations. Our technicians have the right to refuse work if the environment is deemed unsafe, unsanitary, or if they are subjected to harassment.
8. Termination of Service
QuickFix Handyman Inc. reserves the right to terminate any agreement if these terms are breached, including repeated payment delays or failure to provide a safe working environment.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. Any disputes shall be settled within the jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The version posted on our website at the time of your service booking will apply.
